DALO Industry Days has come to an end for this year. For the first time, Scandinavia’s largest defence industry exhibition has been held at MCH Messecenter Herning. Here, the defence industry, the Danish Armed Forces, public authorities and international partners met on 19–20 August 2026 for dialogue, demonstrations and knowledge sharing. Armoured vehicles, drones, missile systems, maritime solutions, communications equipment, IT systems and much more have filled the halls and outdoor areas at MCH Messecenter Herning over the past two days. For the first time, DALO Industry Days has moved from Ballerup to Herning. The relocation has taken place as a result of the significant growth the exhibition has experienced in recent years. The new setting in Herning has made it possible to bring together even more companies and stakeholders from both Denmark and abroad. – I am very pleased with this year’s DALO Industry Days. We have had two intense days with plenty of dialogue, good meetings and strong engagement from both Danish and international companies. That is exactly what DALO Industry Days should do: create a place where the Danish Armed Forces and industry can meet, exchange knowledge and gain a better understanding of each other’s needs and opportunities, says Lieutenant General Per Pugholm Olsen, Chief of the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO). A new setting with room for growth The move to MCH Messecenter Herning also marks a new chapter for DALO Industry Days. For several years, the exhibition has been growing beyond the capacity of its previous setting in Ballerup, and there was therefore a need for a professional partner with plenty of space. – MCH has created a very good setting for this year’s exhibition. Moving DALO Industry Days to Herning has been a major undertaking, but I believe the result shows why it was the right choice. We now have room for more companies, larger exhibitions and even better opportunities for the Danish Armed Forces, public authorities and industry to meet across sectors, says Per Pugholm Olsen. At the same time, he extends his thanks to everyone who has contributed to this year’s event. – Thank you to the many exhibitors who have made the journey to Herning and showcased their solutions. Thank you to the employees of DALO and the Danish Armed Forces, the international delegations and all the other participants who have helped create two lively and rewarding days. And not least, thank you to MCH for the excellent cooperation and for providing the setting for this year’s DALO Industry Days. Gratitude reciprocated Georg Sørensen, CEO of MCH A/S, also expresses his appreciation for the trust and cooperation: – We are very grateful for the trust DALO has shown us by choosing MCH as the venue for DALO Industry Days. It has been impressive to see how companies, equipment and technology from Denmark and around the world have filled the halls and outdoor areas – and created thousands of meetings between people. It confirms once again that face-to-face meetings never go out of fashion. We thank the organiser, DALO, for the excellent cooperation and are pleased that our facilities have been able to contribute to two rewarding days. This year’s DALO Industry Days once again set a record. A total of 1,244 companies from 28 nations participated as exhibitors at this year’s exhibition. Just over half of the more than 1,200 companies were Danish, while the rest came from a wide range of countries in Europe and the rest of the world. A total of 21,095 participants attended this year’s DALO Industry Days. This is a significant increase compared with last year’s exhibition, which was attended by more than 14,000 participants. An important meeting place for the Danish Armed Forces and industry DALO Industry Days is an important part of DALO’s cooperation with industry and gives the entire Danish Armed Forces and other public authorities the opportunity to meet companies and gain insight into technological developments and the solutions that industry can provide. At the same time, companies have the opportunity to meet DALO, operational units, decision-makers, international delegations and potential partners. – At a time when the Danish Armed Forces are to be expanded, it is crucial that we have a good understanding of the market and of the technology that is on the way. We need to be able to procure the right equipment on time, and that requires close and ongoing dialogue with industry. DALO Industry Days helps support that dialogue, says Per Pugholm Olsen. This year’s exhibition brought together companies from a wide range of countries and covered a broad cross-section of the defence industry – from land equipment and maritime solutions to air and space capabilities, cyber, IT, communications and security. At the exhibition, visitors were able, among other things, to experience equipment and technology up close and see a range of solutions demonstrated in practice. DALO Industry Days will return in 2027, with the continued ambition of strengthening the exhibition as a key meeting place for the Danish Armed Forces and the national and international defence industry.
