SIMA Remote Ringmount

SIMA Innovation’s Remote Ringmount is a lightweight, modular, and easily integrated remote weapon mounting solution designed to increase soldier effectiveness and platform flexibility without the cost, complexity, or integration burden of a full Remote Weapon Station.
The system is built on SIMA’s motorised ringmount pedigree and our long-standing philosophy of “Innovated for soldiers, by soldiers”, which has been proven across multiple NATO and partner-nation platforms.
COMBAT PROVEN TECHNOLOGY
The current Remote Ringmount is a concept demonstrator based on the combat proven modularised Ringmount solutions from SIMA Innovation. It allows easy transfer from ‘submerged and remote mode’ to ‘standard mode’ with open hatch, giving the gunner full observation range. The solution relies on combat proven components and can be customized with sensor and screen to fit the operational requirements and user Government Furnished Equipment.
TACTICAL CONTEXT
The Remote Ringmount is designed for highly flexible use across both front line and rear area operations. Units can employ it for rapid cover fire, secure movement, and actual combat, often under shifting threat levels and with operators of varied training backgrounds.
Its design supports these environment by being:
· Intuitive and fast to operate
· Robust and low maintenance
· A low profile reducing the discoverability of the platform
· Easily reconfigurable without major modifications
The system is optimized for suppressive, directional fire, which enables:
· Quick target acquisition
· Stable control
· Low physical and cognitive load on the gunner
CORE CHARACTERISTICS
· Lightweight, solid construction with high reliability in harsh military environments.
· Motorised by default, improving ergonomics, reducing gunner fatigue, and enabling precise target tracking even on slopes or uneven terrain.
· “Open mechanical architecture” design, allowing integration of sensors already in use.
· “Gaming like controller” for easy use with minimal training.
· Military “dual use” allowing the soldiers to operate the system from the safety of inside the platform or standing conventionally in the ringmount.
