Latvia will showcase its rapidly growing, battle-tested defence and technology ecosystem at DALO Industry Days 2026. Visitors to the Latvian Pavilion will have the opportunity to explore advanced unmanned ground systems, FPV and counter-UAV solutions, virtual reality platforms for medical and defence training, precision metal fabrication, industrial marking technologies, and resilient supply chain solutions developed by leading Latvian companies.
Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Latvia's defence industry has significantly expanded its capabilities, building on a strong industrial foundation while responding to evolving operational requirements. With defence expenditure reaching 5% of GDP in 2026, Latvia has become an increasingly important contributor to NATO capability development and to supporting Ukraine through innovative, operationally relevant technologies.
Latvia is also emerging as a regional hub for defence innovation. The country hosts Europe's first 5G military test site, the Baltics' largest military training and testing area in Sēlija, and dedicated drone testing and training facilities, including Drone House. With more than 40 drone companies and a highly capable ICT sector specialising in secure communications, spectrum intelligence and battlefield connectivity, the Latvian Pavilion offers valuable opportunities to establish partnerships in autonomous systems, drones, defence manufacturing and dual-use technologies.
